I know it has been a while since I updated my blog. A lot has happened in the past 2 months.
First, my sweet Merlyn passed away. He was only 3 years old. he had tumors in his lungs and he passed away before the scheduled surgery.
Sadly, Memorial Day, my sister Heather, lost her beloved David who was only 35 years old. My heart bleeds for her. I was never fortunate enough to meet David, but I know they loved each other very much and that made him a wonderful man!
Mike has been having more issues with his arthritis which seems to be acting up more and more.
He called in for his prescription to be filled, and the Dr called him and asked if he has been taking Ibuprofen. When he said yes, She told to him STOP IMMEDIATELY. The reaction between the two medications can cause a heart attack. He was appalled because the SAME doctor has prescribed the Ibuprofen herself! GRRR Stupid drs.
Well, as a lot of ppl know, I have PCOS (Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrom) Essentially, instead of an egg dropping, it becomes a cyst and stays on the ovary. When they rupture, it feels like I am being stabbed with a doubled edges serrated knife and twisted. Not fun on any level.
I have had other pains and other issues. (ie. having my monthly for 6-9 months at a time) And the painful feeling of gnomes using my insides as a jungle gym.
FINALLY my Dr said he wanted to send me for a mammogram (at the age of 31 that freaked me out) but that was clear (THANK THE GODS!!!)
He also sent me in for a Larposcopy, a hysterscopy and a D&C at the same time. He was looking for fibroids and to see if I have endometriosis. Supposed to be a quick surgery back to work in a day or two. The pain in my shoulder from the gas they used to extend my stomach had me out for a week.
Turns out I DO have endometriosis, BUT he found a mass on my cervix.
He pulled a sample for a biopsy. I get the results on June 21st. No matter what I have to go to Buffalo to a specialist to have it removed it possible.
The reason there is even a scare for me that this may not be benign is my mother was spayed at the age of 38 because it was the C word. As well as my grandmother was 41 when she had hers for the same reason. I am determined to do everything the opposite of my mother so this HAS to be negative.
On the job front, I have a summer job until the casino calls me back. I am working at a campground in Franklinville and I am actually having a lot of fun there. I get to meet different people every weekend as well as our seasonal campers.
Only a couple days until the Solstice. I can not wait!

Day Seven- A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you.
There There are quite a few things in my life that had big impacts. Some good, some bad.
Lets start with the BAD!
This is my mother, Roberta.A lot of people know she is crazy. I grew up in a twisted world created by her mind. She DID teach some values, but she mainly taught me the way to NOT live.
This woman is poison to all near her. She starts off being your friend then she turns around and destroys you, your self confidence, your mental stability then if that isn' t enough, She will hurt you physically.
She tried to teach me a "skill" and "career" by showing dogs, when in reality I was little more than a slave to her whims. She would drive and pay for everything (taking all my fathers money until we had nothing) and I would do all the work, grooming, showing, training etc. She handed out smacks with her hands or whatever objects were in her hands with the same easy measure as a hug.
I admit, part of her sickness is she is Bi-Polar. Living with a person who is bi-polar is no easy feat. I understand why my father found solace with other women and I commend him for staying with her as long as I did.
I feel bad she is now old, sick and alone but she has hurt me and then my husband so much we refuse to help her anymore. Her own sister wants her turned over to Social Services. But sadly she is the one who burned her own bridges and pushed everyone away.
OK OK Get off the subject before I write a 20 page blog.
NOW FOR THE POSITIVE/NEGATIVE Mix
Kasey L. Heger. and Her Mother Kelly Heger
Kasey is a young lady whose life was cut too short by a Drunk Driver in October 2007. She was only 3 years old. This is the negative. IF I EVER CATCH ONE OF MY FRIENDS DRINKING AND DRIVING THE WRATH OF ME WILL BE MORE SEVERE THAN THE POLICE COULD EVER CHARGE YOU!
There is a positive to this. Her Mother Kelly, was seriously hurt in the accident and has had to live her life missing a piece of her heart.
Instead of curling into a ball of misery; Kelly has become a major advocate for MADD http://www.madd.org. She works with the Charleston Police force and this year earned the Volunteer of the year award from Charleston. Kelly has given Kasey a voice and hopefully her message has made people think twice before getting behind the wheel of their car.
KELLY, I SALUTE YOU!
Now for a PURE POSITIVE.
My Husband, the love of my life, Michael.
We met in 1999, got married in 2001. We are going to celebrate our 10 year anniversary this March.
Mike knew I was a high spirited, troublemaker when i met him. He never set out to change me, but he knew how to tame me, still let me soar but never bruised my wings.
Micky is a wonderful man with sometimes infinite patience. He always does what NEEDS to be done before he does other things.
When he was promoted to manager at a gas station, he joined the Navy to give us a better life.
His body has sadly, destroyed his body but that has yet to stop him. Some people would take his disability and try to live off it that way, but not him. He is always striving to better himself mentally and physically. He has amazing ideas to help the world.
Micky is always a go to guy for problems, he is there when someone needs a hand or a shoulder. He has taught me patience and love.
I can not say enough about this man. Somedays we want to kill each other but deep down, we know there is a foundation of love that will not be destroyed.

Needing Help vs Begging
I have a CoWorker I will call Jane, Jane Doe.
Ok So she is 44 with an adorable little baby. Her husband is disabled and they get Food Stamps and WIC. Well she thinks everyone should do everything for her. She EXPECTS me to drive 10 miles East of my house to drive her back past my house and go 3 blocks West of my house to take her to work.
One day she called me and said she got called in at 1pm when I was going in would I go pick her up in a couple hours. I agreed because it was below zero outside. She called me at 11 and asked if I could take her even earlier to WIC. Sorry NO I am not a chauffer. She has never offered a dollar towards gas or even a THANK YOU.
I called work about something else and mentioned I was picking up Jane. Bossman says No, she was not called in She doesn't go in until 5. F-BOMB to that! She was trying to manipulate me to bring her in early to basically steal 4 hours of work. HELL NO! Not going to happen!!
She said 4 times in one day "I didn't get my food stamps yet I am so hungry" All the while looking at my lunch. Granted I thought ahead and bought a bunch of those Marie Calendar's Lean Gourmet meals that were on sale 10 for $10 and had them in the freezer at work with my name on them.
If she would ask me straight out. Hey can I have one, i would give one to her. But she throws hints around and mopes. Always saying she doesn't want to bother anyone. I would have more respect for her if she asked me flat out. Not tip toe around and expect everyone to cater to her!
She says she has no money. But she bought 2 cartons of smokes...where did she get the money for that?
One day I said to a different coworker I am tasting pizza! I think i will order one with Mike.
an hour later she comes up "When are you ordering the pizza I am starving." I looked at her like she was nuts! I said "I am ordering it when I go home and see Mike." She replied "Oh" and looked crestfallen.
Mike happened to stop in literally a couple minutes later. I was with a customer and he was waiting to talk to me about something she strolled over to him and said "Beth said you were going to bring us pizza" Mike looked at me and i gently shook my head and gave Jane the evil eye and when i was done with my customer I straightened Jane out saying She LIED to Mike and to knock it off.
She is really pissing me off!

Day Six- Favorite super hero and why.
When I was a little girl I wanted to be Wonder Woman. There seemed to be nothing that woman could not do. She kicked ass and in heels! She also showed boys that girls could knock heads together too!I am not sure if She-Ra Counts, But Overall SHE WAS MY FAVORITE! I guess you can say she still is! To give up being with her family just to Save another world. Sad but POWERFUL!
Oh, to have a talking horse to boot. Healing powers, and a smart-mouth.

Day Two- The meaning behind your blog name.
The Meaning behind me blog name....Well, I love squirrels.
It all started with one cold March day in 2000, a squirrel came in my apartment via an open window. He was sitting on my bed just as happy as you please. I called my husband (then fiancee) and and asked how should I get it out. Being a Sunday animal control was closed. He had no clue but laughed at me.
I grabbed bread, tossed it down he started eating it i threw a towel over him and tossed him out the front door.
He came back around to the back of the house and sat on the tree branch outside the closed window.
4 hours later when Mike came home he was STILL there. Up until then Mike never believed the squirrel was angry enough to be sitting on the branch.
Well that easter, he gave me a chocolate squirrel and a squirrel stuffed animal and the obsession started there. And the nutty part of my blog name, anyone who knows me, KNOWS I have a nutty life!
